# Hermes Agent MCP server: 3,397 APIs, no keys | treg.to

treg.to is an MCP server for Hermes Agent that gives it 3,397 ready-to-call APIs across 94 platforms: people and company enrichment, hiring and funding signals, SEO data, social and ads. Add one block to ~/.hermes/config.yaml; calls run on treg.to's keys at the provider's rate with $0.000 markup, and your own keys are never metered.

## Install in Hermes Agent

1. Get your team token from the treg.to dashboard, or run treg login.
2. Add treg.to under mcp_servers in ~/.hermes/config.yaml (the block is below). treg mcp install detects Hermes and prints manual configuration instructions rather than writing the file.
3. In Hermes, run /reload-mcp. The tools appear as mcp__treg__catalog_search, mcp__treg__catalog_get and mcp__treg__call.
4. Your first team starts with $1.00 of free calls. No card, no subscription, no seats.

The `include` list is optional. It keeps the three tools a research job needs and leaves out the rest (balance, my_tools, review, feedback and others), so Hermes carries fewer tool definitions into every turn. Drop the list to load them all.

## A weekly buying-signal check, delivered to your chat

Hermes has its own scheduler and sends results to Telegram, Slack, Discord and other chats through its gateway, once the gateway is running and a chat is connected. treg.to does not schedule anything: it answers the calls each run makes. A scheduled job runs in a fresh session, so give it absolute paths and a file to remember what it already sent:

## From a signal to a contact

When a check turns something up, the same session can go one step further: search the company's people by the function you sell to, find a work email with `treg.people.email.find`, and verify it with `treg.people.email.verify` before anything is sent. ## Questions

**Is treg.to free to use in Hermes Agent?** Adding it is free and your first team starts with $1.00 of calls. After that each call is metered from the team's prepaid balance at the provider's own rate, with no markup, no subscription and no seats. Calls on your team's own keys are free.

**Do I need API keys from the providers?** No. treg.to makes the upstream request on its own key and relays the answer, so Hermes only holds your treg.to team token. If your team already pays for a provider, register that key and those calls are never metered.

**Does treg.to run the schedule?** No. Hermes's own scheduler runs the job and its gateway delivers the result. treg.to answers each call the run makes and charges for those calls only.

**Can I use a treg.to skill in Hermes instead of MCP?** Hermes reads skills in the open SKILL.md format, and treg.to's skill is served at treg.to/skill.md. The MCP block above follows Hermes's documented MCP configuration; it gives Hermes the catalog search, and catalog_get shows the price before a call.

**Does treg.to pick the provider for me?** Only when you call a routed tool such as treg.people.email.find, which tries its providers your own keys first, then cheapest per hit. Everywhere else the providers for a job are shown side by side with prices and measured reliability, and Hermes, or you, chooses.
